You show me
My carcass,

I come back
To my flesh.

I buried the bird
In a rodents home.

So innocently,

I placed
Death in life.

Migration was the topic of the artist residency at the Ichol
Visual Arts Center, which we discussed with anthropologist
and artist Katharina Poggendorf-Kakar. The classical
structure of the picture frame became the material point of
departure for my work within the two weeks of the residency.
Metaphorically speaking, my ceramic objects materialized
dynamic tensions of cultural imprints, oscillating between
rigidity and shelter, isolation and exchange. Local artist Priyal
Kāliyug responded to my objects with two poems.
